Thought download.com is a certified site but somehow managed to get malware from downloading screensaver from there.
I immediately noticed I got Spigot ver 10 in my list of programs and of course it would not let me uninstall it.
Now I got even pop ups and Internet Explorer kept popping up saying I need to download flash player, despite the fact that I use Chrome only.
Been running Malwarebytes Anti-malware twice since got infected and lucky me even that had failed (I got an error message saying it stoppped working)
I am on windows 8.1, a Asus N56v laptop
Any help is much appreciated.
